I'm delighted! We bought her (Rolanna) at the sales for just €1,000 and Mr Walsh (owner) bought into her. We've only had her for a handful of runs and brought her to Chepstow where she was third. She suffered a bit with ulcers but we treated that and it seems to have worked. She schools well and has a nice future over hurdles.

The Stewards interviewed K.P. Moriarty, rider of Del's Delight, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found K.P. Moriarty in breach of Reg. 10 3.(b) by unnecessarily using his whip when his chance of being placed was clearly gone and having taken his good record into account the Stewards cautioned the rider regarding his future whip use. E.T. Daly, rider of Penelope Pitstop (GB) trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount's saddle slipped and pulled up. K.P. Moriarty, rider of Del's Delight trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran flat.
