Permission was given for Desert Falcon (IRE) and FINBAR’S LAD to wear a red hood to post, for Thapa VC (IRE) to go early to post and to be mounted on the chute and for Berkshire Phantom (IRE) to go early to post.
Leaving the stalls, Bell Shot (IRE), placed fifth, jumped left-handed interfering with Bossy Parker (IRE), unplaced, which in turn, inconvenienced the winner, Great Max (IRE).
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Bell Shot (IRE).
Following the race, Oisin Murphy reported that Saturnalia (GER), placed fourth, was denied a clear run from one furlong out.
