An enquiry was held to consider three incidents of interference involving the winner, PRINCESS ANIMALE, ridden by Charlie Bennett and Dr Jekyll (IRE), placed second, ridden by Louis Steward.
The first incident occurred shortly after the start.
Bennett and Steward were cautioned for careless riding as Bennett allowed his mount to shift right and Steward allowed his mount to shift left, resulting in their mounts bumping and becoming unbalanced.
The second incident occurred turning in to the home straight when PRINCESS ANIMALE interfered with Dr Jekyll (IRE).
The interference was found to be accidental as PRINCESS ANIMALE shifted quickly right, making slight contact with Dr Jekyll (IRE), who was straightening up for a run.
The third incident occurred approximately 1 furlong out when Dr Jekyll (IRE) interfered with PRINCESS ANIMALE.
Steward was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed, whilst using his whip with his right hand, causing Bennett to take a slight check and having to switch right.
Sean Levey, the rider of Mount Mayon (IRE), placed fourth, was also interviewed but found not to be involved.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Dr Jekyll (IRE), placed second, had lost its left fore shoe.
