An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving Maytree Respite (IRE), placed third, ridden by Daniel Tudhope; Tropez Power (IRE), placed second, ridden by Rossa Ryan and the winner, NIETZSCHE’S STAR, ridden by Daniel Muscutt.
The interference was found to be accidental as, when hitting the front, Tropez Power (IRE) hung badly right despite Ryan’s best efforts, causing Maytree Respite (IRE) to be briefly checked.
Tropez Power (IRE) then continued to hang badly right-handed despite Ryan taking further measures to prevent the gelding hanging, resulting in NIETZSCHE’S STAR being carried off its intended line.
Following the race, Rossa Ryan reported that Tropez Power (IRE), placed second, hung badly right and Daniel Tudhope reported that Maytree Respite (IRE), placed third, suffered interference approximately 1 furlong out.
