Inside the final 2 furlongs, Nova Legend (IRE), placed second, lugged left causing Buxted Reel (IRE), placed fifth, to become awkwardly placed on its heels.
As a result, Buxted Reel (IRE) was switched left and in so doing gave a slight bump to Levitate (IRE), placed third, whilst at the same time to its inside Highland Frolic (FR), placed fourth, edged right giving a bump to Havaila (IRE), placed sixth, causing Havaila (IRE) to be eased off the heels of Levitate (IRE).
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any horse.
Following the race, Daniel Muscutt reported that Nova Legend (IRE), placed second, stumbled at the top of Rose Hill.
