Permission was given for Rita Rana (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and to go early to post and for Master Toney (GB) to go early to post and to wear a red hood to the start.
Upon leaving stalls, Master Toney (GB), unplaced, jumped badly right-handed giving a bump to Goodwood Vision (GB), placed fourth, who in turn made contact with James Park Woods (IRE), placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Finley Marsh reported that Rita Rana (IRE), placed fifth, hung left-handed.
