That's my first track winner, I've had a few point-to-point winners. We always owned him, and he is the reason I got the licence. I only have the licence since May or June, so it took us a couple of runners to get off the mark, but we got there. I train just outside New Ross in Rathgarogue, so we didn't have far to travel. I have four or five for the track and a few more point-to-pointers. He was only ten lengths off them in Galway the last day, but maybe the speed has gone off him, it's been a few years since he done a good two mile time. The Stewards enquired into an incident leaving the back straight involving Shutter Island, ridden by M.P. Walsh, Coldstonesober, ridden by K.C. Sexton, Herbiegoesbananas, ridden by C. Brassil, and For Sinead, ridden by B.Hayes. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the video evidence was inconclusive, they gave B.Hayes the benefit of the doubt and took no further action. M.P. Walsh, rider of Shutter Island trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount clipped heals and was almost brought down.
