< Custom Cut made a successful return to Ireland in the Invesco Pension Consultants Desmond Stakes at Leopardstown.
Formerley trained by Dermot Weld and George Kent, the five-year-old was bidding for a hat-trick after Listed wins in England for David O'Meara and took the step back up to Group Three company in his stride.
Letir Mor and Great White Eagle cut out the early running but they soon faded in the home straight and it was left to the winner (100-30) and Brendan Bracken to fight it out.
Danny Tudhope's mount proved too strong in the final furlong and pulled two and a quarter lengths clear of the favourite, with Sruthan keeping on for third.< Puck Fair (9-4) just got the better of Vitalized in a thrilling finish to the opening Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Maiden.
Johnny Murtagh's charge looked sure to make it fourth-time lucky entering the final furlong, but Jim Bolger's filly put up a brave fight and only went down by a nose as they crossed the line together.< Oor Jock (8-1) stayed on strongly to run out a two-length winner from Chillie Billie in the 'Charlatans' Handicap.< Supposing (7-4fav) gained reward for some good efforts in defeat when landing the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Maiden.
David Wachman's filly hit the front turning for home and never looked like getting caught by Spirited who was a length and a quarter back in second.< Order Of St George landed the odds with minimal fuss in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund (C & G) Maiden.
Following the withdrawal of his stable companions Smuggler's Cove and the stoutly-bred Ol' Man River, Aidan O'Brien's charge was sent off 2-5 favourite and his supporters never had any concerns.
The Galileo colt kicked clear off the home turn and passed the post eight and a half lengths clear of Blue Skimmer
Pat Smullen continued his fine form when partnering Massinga (8-11fav) to a three-quarters of a length victory from Sea Coast in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Handicap.
