< Airlie Beach signed off her racing career in fantastic style with a gutsy victory in the Ardilaun Hotel Oyster Stakes at Galway.
In foal to Mount Nelson, this Listed event was to be her last race and the Willie Mullins-trained mare went out with valuably victory under Pat Smullen.
The 2-1 favourite recovered well from a tardy start to hit the front turning for home and displayed a fine attitude to see off the persistent challenge of Remarkable Lady by a length and a half.
That completed a double for Smullen who also helped Hazapour (5-2) reverse form with Hunting Horn to take the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.

Coeur D'Amour finished with a wet sail to open his account in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Fillies Maiden.< Himmah looked to set to justify 5-4 favouritism when stealing a march two furlongs out but the Madeleine Tylicki-trained juvenile took off late on and won well by a length and three-quarters from Big Bad Sal who just got up for second.< Sister Blandina impressed in running out an easy winner of the Donnellys Of Barna Rated Race.
Having settled in the rear early doors, Johnny Murtagh's filly swooped round the outside to take it up early in the home straight before stretching four and a half lengths clear of Ontheiflist < Cosmic Symbol sprang a 20-1 surprise in the James P. Cunningham Electrical Handicap.< Keep Believing led them round the final bend but had no answers when challenged by George Webb's six-year-old, who kept on well to score by half a length from Happy Company < Get Out Of Jail recorded a one-length verdict over Siempre Amigos when taking the Galway Apprentice Handicap at 6-1, while Ellmarie Holden's Dawn Choir (7-2) took the concluding Sean Cleary Memorial Fillies Maiden by a length and a quarter from Bound
