The Irish EBF Supporting Irish Champions Weekend Nursery Handicap (Plus 10 Race) at Killarney went in style to the favourite, Urban Light (7/4), for Johnny Murtagh and Denis Linehan.
Well-supported in early markets Bodhicitta (7/2) performed creditably, but Urban Light (blinkers replacing a visor) was too strong from over a furlong out, eventually scoring by two and three parts of a length.
"He won well today and we always knew he had that in him. He was unlucky at Galway but was very impressive there and he likes to get his toe in the ground," said Linehan.
"He is a very relaxed horse so he finished off the race well and he stayed the trip no problem. He is a big strong horse and there will be plenty improvement in him as a three year old."
