Toushan availed of a Christmas gift in the Cube Veterans Handicap Chase after Smokey Joe Joe crashed out at the second last when clear.
Last year's winner Smokey Joe Joe looked to have the race at his mercy as he travelled well to lead approaching the straight.
He drew clear of the opposition coming to the second last but ploughed through it giving Robbie Dunne no chance.
Toushan, the 5/2 favourite, was left in the lead and he galloped on to put runner-up Mister First (7/1) away by eight lengths. Dare To Endeavour (10/1) was a further 10 lengths behind in third.
This gave trainer Peter Fahey a 118/1 across-the-card double as his Mine Now won the Pertemps qualifier in Leopardstown at 33/1.
Winning jockey Kevin Sexton said: "We'll take it either way and he jumped great. It was his first run for Peter and he got a bit tired turning in and Smokey Joe Joe got away from him. He got a second wind after the second last and galloped away to the line."
