French-import, Rich Coast on his second start in Ireland, convincingly landed the Friday Evening Racing Handicap at Cork for Andrew Tinkler and Tommy Carmody.
Niall McCullagh made all on the King's Best gelding and he kicked on a furlong and a half out. The 5/1 shot had a reduced advantage in the closing stages but he still comfortably held on by a length and three parts from Cheval Rouge
McCullagh remarked: "He's been working well. The trip was right and he enjoyed the ground.
"He doesn't really settle and tanks along but he does the same at home and it doesn’t stop him." (AM & EM)
