Spin Of A Coin was a strong order for the Meath News & Sport Handicap (4/1 this morning into 7/4) but after not getting the run of the race he failed by three parts of a length to Prince Of Fashion with Pat Smullen up.
John Geoghegan trains Prince Of Fashion for owner/breeder Sandra Maye and the five-year-old was gaining his third lifetime win here.
Geoghegan said: "I can't take much of the credit for this. The owner's husband John rides him out every morning before going next door to work at Moyglare (Stud Farm).
"The horse seems to be getting his act together – he seems to be getting tougher and smarter.
"He needs about three weeks between his races. He is a half-brother to Invincible Ash (the recent Meydan winner).
"The owner (Sandra Maye, bred this fellow and Invincible Ash) has the dam (Fully Fashioned) in foal to Acclamation now." (AM & EM)
