Oh'herewego who made his debut as a seven-year-old, recorded his third win from his last four starts, as he kept on best to take the Follow Tipperary Races On Twitter Handicap Hurdle.

An impressive winner on his most recent outing at Listowel, the Val O'Brien trained nine-year-old was as short as 7/2 this morning, but proved easy to back on-course, opening at 6s, before going off a 7/1 chance.

Settled in mid-division by Conor Orr, the son of Medaaly took closer order with a circuit to race, and was pushed along approaching the straight.

He looked held in third before the last, however he found a second wind on the run-in, staying on best under pressure, going on to prevail by a length and three parts. Holy Motivation (8/1), who swept through to lead after two out, had to settle for second under Davy Russell for Gordon Elliott, while the front-running Naturally Blond (25/1) was another half a length back in third. Madaboy Cross (20/1) completed the placings in fourth, while the gambled favourite (8s into 3/1 on-course) Perfect Leader was ninth.

The market leader was being pushed along by Danny Mullins when he was badly hampered by Silver Planeur (slipped up) after the third last.

O'Brien said afterwards: "He wasn't registered as a foal and had to get re-registered as a six-year-old. His owner (Gerard Murphy) just decided to register him as he was worth trying.

"He didn't run until he was seven but he had no problem and is very sound. He does everything very well always. Even though he is nine, he hasn't that many mile son the clock and he is a fresh enough horse.

"I'm not sure where he'll go but he goes on soft ground so he'll be kept going for the winter. I don't know about fences but we'll try and get as much as we can over hurdles first."
