Mystic Theatre is arguably the classiest horse on show at Kilbeggan on Saturday and Willie Mullins' mare bids for a hat-trick of successes in the Joe Cooney Memorial Mares Novice Hurdle.

The six-year-old missed out by half a length in a Grade Three bumper at Punchestown but has made no mistake in two starts over hurdles, winning by 10 lengths at Tipperary and seven lengths at this track last time.

A similar effort could suffice here, though Just Janice and Like An Open Book have recent wins to their names and could be a threat.

The Like Kilbeggan Races On Facebook Maiden Hurdle gets things under way at 5.30, where Canny Tom attempts to break his maiden tag at the 25th attempt.

Gordon Elliott 's charge has suffered 22 of those defeat over hurdles, but nine of them have resulted in placed efforts and he was second when last tried at this track.

It would be difficult to call his claims bombproof with such a record, though, and perhaps Denis Hogan's Galway third Shinghari who was rated as high as 85 on the Flat, could be too much of a danger.

The Follow KilbegganRaces On Twitter Handicap Chase is the richest race on the card and Henry De Bromhead has a pair of contenders in Archive and Tisamystery

Jessica Harrington runs A Sizing Network in the same colours as Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Sizing John, but the form horse in the race is Black Zambezi who has notched successive wins for Peter Fahey.

Elliott's Everyday Everyhour bids to open his account over fences again Christy Roche's Act In Time and a number of other challengers in the Kieran Kelly Memorial Beginners Chase, while Optimised represents Elliott in the Summer Party Pack Discount Group Booking Maiden Hurdle. The Trigger bids for a hat-trick in the Pig 'N' Whistle Pubs And Restaurants New York Handicap Hurdle.
