Fourth on the opening night to Poet Power, Dayna Moss turned out again quickly to round off a marvellous day for the Fahey family, capturing the concluding Guinness West Indies Porter INH Flat Race in the hands of Richie Deegan.
Owned and bred by Anthony Coyne, the successful Captain Rio gelding extended away from the opposition from before the straight.
Peter Fahey 's brother Paul had earlier been on the mark with Oakly and here the Monasterevin family's representative had nine lengths to spare over Balinaboola Steel at the finish.
"I’m thrilled for Anthony Coyne. He's a big help to us in the yard," said Fahey.
"He's put great confidence in me the whole time along which has been a big help. He's given me all his horses to train.
"He's based in Athboy and he's an osteopath.
"The only reason the horse ran again today was because of the small field and it being Galway.
"I was probably a bit disappointed with him on Monday but hopefully he goes on now. He needs further. He'll be a grand horse over hurdles.
"He'll probably go to Listowel."
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Peacocks Secret trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
