Eye Of The Tiger may be ten now, but there's life left in him yet, as evidenced by his defiance of top-weight in the Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Handicap at Dundalk.

Ross Coakley did the steering on Johnny Murtagh's charge, and he got the best of a three pronged battle inside the final furlong, prevailing by a head and a nose from Magnetic Force and Jack Blue

"He deserved that and has been running very consistent," reflected Murtagh.

"He shows plenty of pace at home but got every yard of the trip. He's a lovely horse to have around the place, and hopefully we can get another one out of him.

"Ross puts a lot of hard work in and is getting the rewards now."

Coakley had earlier finished a close second on Artistic Integrity in the 4.50.

F.M. Berry, rider of First In The Queue trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount unable to get a clear run from the five furlong pole to the three furlong pole.
