There is a quality seven-race card at Gowran Park this evening with two Listed races for fillies and Joseph O’Brien looks set to saddle the favourite in both feature events. Dancing Tango signed off last season by taking the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Bluebell Stakes over 1m4f at Naas and now steps up a further quarter mile in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Vintage Tipple Stakes.
Stablemate Perfect Portrait was three lengths behind in third in the ‘Bluebell’ and again reopposes while Countess Of Tyrone and Enfranchise are others to consider. Goldana who skipped an engagement at the Curragh on Monday, represents the Carriganog team in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes.
The daughter of Galileo Gold again showed her liking for plenty of cut in the ground when landing the Heritage Stakes at Leopardstown last month and she faces six rivals in this extended nine-furlong event including the Jessica Harrington-trained pair Snowcapped and Villanova Queen
Johnny Murtagh also sends a strong team to the County Kilkenny venue with Ebanza Chicago Fireball and Hanalia all strong contenders in the three maidens on the card.
The going at Gowran, where the action gets underway at 5.20, remains heavy with the forecast for a warm and dry day.
