High Kicker under Conor Hoban, caused a 20/1 upset to win the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show Handicap at Leopardstown today, scoring a maiden win on her third start for trainer Peter Fahey.
The daughter of High Chapparal was outsider of seven runners today but in the end gained her first win at the 13th attempt.
Fahey later stated âshe ran alright the last day when she got stopped a few times and she's in foal to Famous Name which is probably a big help to her.
âI'm delighted for the Howards (owners) who have been good supporters of mine and they'll be breeding out of a winner now. I've had pre-trainers for them for a good few years and this is the second horse to run for me. She'll go for something similar again.â
