Dropping down into the bottom grade for the first time in his career, the Ado McGuinness trained Enough Already landed a tidy gamble when proving far too strong for the opposition in the closing Book Online At DundalkStadium.com Handicap at Dundalk.
Rated in the 80's for most of his career, the eight-year-old had dropped in the weights since joining present connections despite showing plenty of ability on more than one occasion.
Mid division at the Curragh over 7f last time, the gelding was dropped 1lb which allowed him run in the 47-65 category for the first time.
Held up towards rear of the field by Adam Caffrey, Enough Already only had one horse in front of him turning into the straight.
However, he picked up in stylish fashion to emerge as a serious challenger for a furlong out. Heading Elsa's Pride over 150 yards from the finish, he eased to a comfortable one-and-a-half length success.
Available at 13/2 in places overnight, the winner was returned 5/4f.
Ado McGuinness said: "When you drop those horses into that grade, it happens plenty of times. They are just better horses than the others.
"He did it quite easily and I think he is in on Wednesday. We probably will run him on Wednesday."
