Darcy wins aboard Danderry
The Paul Flynn trained Danderry carried top weight to land the The Allianz Maiden Hurdle in the hands of Mick Darcy.
Darcy took up the lead on the Dilshaan gelding from before three out and the pair kept on strongly from the last for an eight length victory over Little Barney
Winning jockey Darcy said afterwards: “He loves that ground. The ground was too quick for him when he ran at Gowran Park.”
“He had a good run at Punchestown where he finished seventh but he just needs soft ground. He loves the muck.”
