It was Aidan first, Joseph second and Aidan third and fifth as the O'Briens dominated the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C & G) Maiden (Plus 10 Race) at Leopardstown. James Cook (4/7) got the job done under Seamie Heffernan.
The Lloyd Williams-owned and Joseph O'Brien-trained Latrobe ran very well on debut, but the previous second placer James Cook saw it out well enough to hold on by half a length.
There was also merit in the performances of Ballydoyle third and fifth, Gardens Of Babylon and Cypress Creek
Johnny Murtagh 's Machiavelli took fourth position.
Aidan O'Brien said afterwards: "He's still very green from the front but you would have to be happy with that. He probably won't run again this year. We will probably leave him alone."
