Navan Sun, 9th Feb, 2025  Better Days Ahead Better Days Ahead wasn't doing a stroke in front. It wasn't ideal, he needs something to make it. Jordan (Gainford on Three Card Brag) took him along for as long as he could and probably ran a good race in his own right. I was thrilled with Stellar Story. He keeps guessing at his fences and I told Danny (Gilligan) to try and get him around and try to get a bit of confidence into him. He gave him a brilliant ride - probably a bit unlucky. Number one, we had to try and get him around. I'd imagine Brown Advisory for Better Days Ahead and Stellar Story could go Brown Advisory as well. Three Card Brag needed that run to qualify for the Aintree Grand National.

Leopardstown Sun, 2nd Feb, 2025  Backtonormal The step up in trip and niceish ground suited and Conor was very good on him. He’s a good rider.

Thurles Thu, 21st Nov, 2024  Romella She has been running well but during the summer, when the ground had been well watered, she just stopped - she wants top of the ground. She had been in to run at every abandoned meeting here and was then due to be left off but instead we went to Limerick on Tuesday where they watered and it rained. It turned into tacky ground but Riche Deegan (jockey) didn't murder her once she was beaten. I said to the owner that we'd bring her today and whatever happens, happens. She is in here again next Thursday and will run if she is ok.

Navan Sun, 17th Nov, 2024  Better Days Ahead We bought him off Warren Ewing a couple of years ago and bought him to be a big chaser. He looks like a chaser. It has been a slow burner to where we are getting with these horses. Noel and Valerie (Moran, Bective Stud) are massive supporters of Cullentra and they have invested a lot of money in racing. They are getting their dividends now. It takes time to get where we are and to get winners for them in Navan, their local track, is like a dream come true. I’m absolutely delighted for them and this is a special weekend. Obviously, he is entered in the Drinmore – that might just come a bit too soon. We will look at something probably around Christmas. He is a Martin Pipe winner and it is a race that good horses come out of.

Naas Sun, 10th Nov, 2024  Miss Tempo I'm delighted with that. Mikey was brilliant on her, really positive. I'm delighted for him, he gave her a super ride, and delighted for the lads. It's lovely to have John (O'Shea) here, he doesn't get over that often so it's brilliant that she's won when he's here. She loves it here and she's won well in the end. In fairness she's a hardy mare and she's got some really good form. She just lost her form a bit but it's lovely to have her back. She's rated 115, she might rob a bit of black type somewhere, but it's probably more handicapping than that. We'll see what the handicapper thinks but if there was an opportunity to get black type you wouldn't be opposed it.

Naas Sun, 10th Nov, 2024  Miss Tempo That was great, I'm delighted with that. He jumped brilliant and I thought Darragh was brilliant on him. It's lovely to see him back to form again, he's got a lot of class. He was very good here back in January and it's nice to get him back. He loves jumping and Darragh said at the first one down the back he couldn't see anything so he just squeezed up and he took off, he winged it. I love that with those two milers, it's always good to watch. I'm delighted for Cheveley Park. We said we'd come here and just see where we were and obviously we'll look at all those better races now. We'll get him home and see. I think he goes on any ground, he won on very testing ground here in January. I worried that the ground might just be a bit too good for him, but he seemed to love it. There is the Tingle Creek or the race at Leopardstown.

Gowran Park Fri, 4th Oct, 2024  Aruntothequeen I always knew she was good. That was a good race, they went a proper gallop and she just stays really well,. She's taken all this time to grow into that frame, you can see how big she is. She probably should have won in Killarney, the ground really went against her that night. I told Harry (Swan) to make plenty of use of her and when you get down the hill let her roll on. I said that she'll stay every yard of it. She was impressive and they were a long way ahead of the third. She'll go on over hurdles now, a two-and-a-half mile maiden hurdle.

Roscommon Mon, 30th Sep, 2024  Lispopple Perseverance was the answer here. I wanted to sell him after his last run and we had a buyer in the yard but Michael (Fagan) rang me to say we'll give him one more go,. He jumped better today and he's just grown up a bit. He's like a horse that could win again, he won so well. He handles the soft ground, he was fourth one day in Naas in a big field on heavy ground. When the rain came we said it might improve his chances. We would have been satisfied with a place.
