Limerick Thu, 26th Dec, 2024  Release The Beast I honestly didn't give him that much of a chance. I was hoping he'd run respectably,. He had a good run the last day. Jim was the one you wanted to come here and he was dead right so we're very happy. Sean said he tends to go a little bit right so he jumped off on the inside but then he moved to the outside because he seemed to be happier out there. I thought he was very good over the last few fences and that's what sealed it for him. I thought he'd win jumping the last but then they sort of quickened again a little bit and he barely got up. Thankfully he was on the right side of the nod. We had a nice winner in Limerick in Release The Beast. He did it very nicely and I'd say he's a nice young horse, he looks to be better over a fence. He's owned by the same sort of men so they are all delighted.

Limerick Thu, 26th Dec, 2024  Release The Beast He was a big baby last year and I know he the maiden hurdle he won last year wasn't a great race but he disappointed us afterwards. We loved him but I'd say he just wasn't able for what we were doing with him,. He has been a different horse since he came back in and had a lovely run the first day back. He has learned to settle and jump but today's race was only a restricted novice so we'll see where he goes from here. He is definitely a nice horse though, loves that ground and I'm delighted for the owners who are great supporters of the yard. Getting a winner on the first day over Christmas lifts the pressure so this is super.

Punchestown Tue, 10th Dec, 2024  Ifiwerearichman a member of the (Capital Racing) syndicate Phil Byrne — who had owned Feetofadancer, died suddenly not so long ago and he was a great friend of ours. It will be an emotional win for all the lads involved today as Phil organised the syndicate and got all those lads together. I hope it gives Cathy and the kids a lift, that's the most important part of it.

Cork Sun, 8th Dec, 2024  Only By Night She was good in Tipperary and has built on that. I thought today was coming plenty soon but with a race like this, you have to go for it. She is a very big mare, jumps very well and I'm looking forward to plenty more from her. The mares' novice chase (Grade 2) at Thurles in January would look to be her next race.

Tipperary Fri, 22nd Nov, 2024  Only By Night She jumped brilliant and is very good to jump although I thought we were in bother going along the side but she found plenty for pressure. I'm delighted with her. We won't lose the run of ourselves but it was a good performance and she will go further too. There is a nice programme for mares here and she could also travel to the UK too so we'll see.

Tipperary Fri, 22nd Nov, 2024  Juniper Hill she ran well in a bumper here but then disappointed although had a layoff after her last run. We thought she’d improve for today’s run, running for the first time over three miles, so rode her for luck. We were worried she wouldn’t get home so we said we’d mind her and Sean snuck her into the race lovely. She is owned by a local syndicate, mainly from Adamstown, so I’m delighted for them.

Gowran Park Sat, 9th Nov, 2024  But What He's always been a nice horse. He had a lovely run in Navan last year (third in September) and had a little touch of a tendon after it, so he had the year off. Hopefully, he'll be alright in the morning and we can keep going. He loves that ground, he wouldn't be a horse for the heavy winter ground. He loves a bit of nice ground, maybe a little bit slower than that, but you definitely wouldn't be going on winter ground. I'd imagine we'll be looking at Fairyhouse or Leopardstown, somewhere where the ground would be nice. I don't know where he'll fit in but he's a good horse.

Tramore Thu, 10th Oct, 2024  Rampere West We were surprised he won the last day as he is only a four-year-old and was in against older horses but he is obviously progressing. As long as he stays progressing we will be happy. He is a grand horse and, as long as we can keep him in one piece, he should have a good future. We have no plan with him, he might go out on a break now, we'll see. I'm surprised he even handled the ground, so we might keep him going for another while.
