Cork Sun, 6th Apr, 2025  Bubble Gum Australian Bloodstock won the Melbourne Cup (in 2014) with Protectionist and Ronald Raucher is their racing manager and buys their horses. They have dreams of winning Melbourne Cups and such, so hopefully we can facilitate them in whatever they want to do. She is a lovely filly and Ronald, who lives in Doneraile, rang me in November and said he had a filly which might suit me. She hasn't missed a beat since she came to me in December, has trained well and I'm delighted to have her. I also had Purple Lily and Beechwood for this race but thought this filly would be the most adaptable as the others would like an ease. It is good to have a strong squad of fillies and this filly has a bit of class. She is a Stakes winner now and we'll find a Group race next.

Dundalk Fri, 28th Feb, 2025  Dallas Star David was very happy with him and he is going to improve plenty. He picked up an injury in the Derby and hasn't run since, so it is a great comeback. He had to give the weight away and it is a fair effort. Oh definitely (try 1m4f again) and eventually he could be a 1m6f horse. He'll go now for a Listed race in Naas (Devoy Stakes) in the second week of the Flat, it is a mile and two as well. He'll be even better on the turf.

Limerick Thu, 26th Dec, 2024  Laafi it was a very good performance and he really jumped and travelled. He handled that ground well and it was a nice performance to do that first-time-out over hurdles against horses with runs. He had a very good level of form on the Flat in England and his last win was in Doncaster on easy groudn so we were hopeful coming here. Gary (Bannon, assistant trainer) said he was in right order. There was a false start and I got a better position after it so it all worked out and I was delighted to get the ride.
