Cafe Con Leche opens account for Hogan
I followed the favourite and he stopped down the straight and I won't say I went by him at speed, but I got by him. It was a very ordinary race and he was probably rated to win and he is actually very ground-versatile and has good ground on the flat as well. He didn't feel in love with that ground but I don't think any horse would be. It is sapping, gruelling, sticky, deep and not nice for any horse. There was a lot of sloppy jumping but that's because they are finding it hard to get out of it. He's entered in the Fred Winter next week but I'd say we'll take our time with him.
Groody Rover provides Fenton with welcome success
It didn't look a hectic race on paper but it was lovely he went and won and it was soft to heavy the day he won his point to point. I'm sure he'll deserve another chance at another hurdle and could go chasing in the new season. We have 27 or 28 riding out and they are a mix of point to pointers and horses for the track.
Mullins and Townend strike with Andalusa
The ground wouldn't suit her but that ground wouldn't suit any horse in the race today. It was very very tough. We'll keep her at this job for the time being but what she did there she looked like a mare we're going to have fun with over fences when the ground gets better in the new season. She is a summer mare.

Noonan gets off the mark as a pro on Pound A Stroke
The horse did it lovely. He has loads of ability but has his quirks. I'm with Paddy Neville and also ride out for Eoin. I can claim from 9st10lbs and Gary Cribbin is my agent. He has been working hard for me in the past few weeks and I'd like to thank him. Gary is good and solid and is a rider who will go places during the summer. He is in Newcastlewest and comes in to me one morning a week riding work so he is a big help to me. This horse gave me my first winner as a trainer and if he is fit and well he'll never let you down. He needed blinkers to help him concentrate over fences as he is a little bit bottley early-on. He won't be sneaking over to Chelteham next week!. I've 17 riding out and am busy away thank god and have loads of local support.
Misty Adage scores for Mangan in Clonmel finale
She was unlucky to meet one of JP(McManus)'s at Down Royal the last day and her owner, Michael O'Brien from Ballyporeen, intends breeding from her. She may be going to stud in the near future but she has a few more months to run so we'll see.
