Goddess gains her reward

it wasn't ideal to make the running with Perfect Goddess and she jumped the road (over a furlong out) as well. She never travelled at Fairyhouse the last day but travelled much better today and was going away again at the line. She'll probably go for a nursery somewhere now.

Annie aces it

Ok Annie's win is a real family affair for us as she is named after my daughter Annie. She is owned by my mother-in-law Nuala Brennan. Ok Annie is small like a little terrier and is as tough as it gets. She was drawn 1, which is a big advantge here. However I was just a bit afraid she might get pushed around but Conor gave her a very clever ride. Six or seven furlongs is her trip and she'll go for another nursery now.

I don't know when I was here last . the manager (Brian Kennedy) tells me it was the early 1980s!. both Cape Of Good Grace and Sceal Nua are two nice fillies and had their chance today - I thought the ground might not be soft enough for the winner though. Her dam and grand-dam were a sprinter and she's by cape cross so I can't believe she stays so well. She'll go for something similar or maybe step up a grade next.
