Dashing Darcy brings McKiernan more success
Firstly I'd like to compliment the ground-staff here. We don't live too far away and in our place you wouldn't trot a horse, the ground is rock hard. He appears to be a better chaser than hurdler although you have to mix-it with him to keep him focused. The favourite (Loosen My Load) probably ran below par but they went a fair gallop and I wondered if he'd tire in the last few furlongs, but he kept on very well.

She's probably better over a longer trip and she won a bumper over two and a half miles. We'll try her in a winners hurdle and we could even run her in one of those mile and six or two mile amateur rider races.
Bob's Passage blocked as Willie scores three
His jumping has improved and he got a great ride there from Emmet. He's a very under-rated and under-used rider. He didn't hang around and those tactics paid off. He'll probably stick to that trip and he's a summer horse so we'll make hay when conditions are right.

I was a bit handier than intended. He can be a bit lairy in front but he stays two miles very well.
Elsie makes up for Killarney antics
She was unfortunate in Killarney. She was strong there and we put a different bit on her today and she was easier to handle. She showed me today what she has, she did it like a good mare and if she's lucky at all she'll be a black-type mare.
