Myers makes perfect start in Dundalk opener
I like him. He was a bit greener than the last fella up here. I probably didn't have any horse in the race with experience that could bring me as far as they did over five here the last day,. He was just a bit raw in front and having a bit of a gawk. It took a few belts just to get him to let down for me and stride but once he got the hang of it he impressed me. Six or seven will be no problem for him, I think that will probably be his range for at least the next month or two.

Blinkers a 'big help' as Dunkirk wins easily
I thought he'd do that last week but it probably didn't suit having to make my own running then and he started hanging a little bit up the straight,. Blinkers seem to have been a big help. It was a moderate race but it was nice to get a win into him.
Stack & Slattery on the mark with Cap
Laura appreciates step up in trip
She's named after a member of Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch Gang,. I was a bit disappointed with her a couple of times before. I'm not surprised she won and I thought the trip was a help. We bred her ourselves and she's a full-sister to Union Gap. She's the first one to have won out of the mare so hopefully she can breed a few more winners. She's probably big enough and strong enough to be a jumper as well in time. I'm delighted she won. She seemed to go on that surface quite well and of course yer man in the saddle is a big help. It keeps the owner happy as well!
Thirteenth time lucky for Syrena
It's nice to get her to win. She was good and consistent last year and things didn't fall right for her a few times this year,. Shane gave her a nice ride. He waited, she has one run. Probably seven is her trip, I've been running her at a mile but we'll probably go six or seven from now on. I'd say she'll go for a handicap now, she ran okay in a few handicaps this year and I'd imagine her mark is going to stay around what it is.
Keane doubles-up on Ken's Sam
She's had three stinking bad draws here and over six furlongs here the draw is crucial,. He was able to jump out, sit and wait and be patient. That's exactly what he did and she just loves coming at horses. She's a game filly. You can't do that when you're drawn 14, you'd want stones in hand. She was due another one. That's her second win here this season so we're been delighted. She's owned by Tom Kelly, who is a Vietnam War veteran. The horse is called after his son who passed from cancer so it's very emotional for him and he's delighted.
