Ivy bounces out quick to win
We were lucky to get away with it and hadn't a clue coming here how it would go,. She ran very well in Naas. She got a bad bang coming out of the stalls and it knocked the stuffing out of her but she rattled home. She seemed very well so we let her take her chance. We think she's a very smart filly. She ran very well first time at the Curragh. We ran her back quickly and she got no run in a Listed race at Naas while Dundalk was a bit lively for her. We could start her off in something like the Madrid Handicap and hopefully take in a Guineas trial.
"Right day" for In Salutem
You wouldn't have expected that after Friday evening's run. He's been a little bit frustrating overall,. He ran well when third here over course and distance back in May when there was a slight ease and you'd have thought he might have won a few after that. That's probably him done for the year and hopefully he can come back next year and win a couple. He works better at home than his rating but it's the races where it matters. You have to get him on the right day.
Hannah is Magic back on the flat
It's good to get a win into her before the end of the year. She's been a bit unlucky. She'll go hurdling during the winter and she's already had a run. I think she'll make a smashing dual purpose mare over the next few years, she has a great attitude. She was good in the stalls today as she can be a bit funny,.
Condon double as Harold excites
I'm very happy with that. He had a nice first run here two weeks ago,. He was bred by a good man in Denis McDonnell, down in Cork, which is a good start, and some of his siblings are smart. He'll get a mile and a quarter next year and hopefully he'll be a stakes horse. He's very uncomplicated, very sound and he breathes very well. He's a very straight-forward galloper and still quite raw and babyish. He's a big horse at 16.2 and has a lot to fill into over the winter. He's in the Eyrefield Stakes on Sunday and we'll see how he comes out of this. We have until Friday.
Donohoe and O'Brien on the mark at Navan
She's been unlucky with a few injuries and has missed the first half of last year and this year when she had a stress fracture of her cannon-bone,. We're only getting going with her lately. The ease in the ground was a plus and even though she has won on the all-weather she handles soft very well. She's in at Dundalk on Friday and seeing as the season is nearly over she might go there. Then we might pull up with her.
Lynam gets winner for long-standing patron
She's got a nice pedigree as she's a half-sister to Astrophysics who was just beaten when second in the Flying Childers,.
Hazariban just loves Navan
He loves it around here and loves that type of ground. He'll probably go hurdling now for the winter.
Two for Lee at Navan at over 36/1
It's great to get the job done. We've always liked her. She's very big and we took our time. In fairness to Lady O'Reilly and James Kelly they have been patient and allowed us to do that,. She's improved from each run. Billy gave her a great ride. She's learning with racing and was much more settled today. Like all the Authorizeds she handles a bit of cut. She's in the sales and I'll speak to connections and see what they want to do. She might be a filly to hold on to as I'd expect her to improve and progress.
