Steel Bull wins well on debut
Cotter's filly is A Step ahead of the rest
We're delighted to get a winning bracket with her. Sinead and Dermot Dunne that own her are very enthusiastic owners and have the mare so they wanted to get a winning bracket into her. They'll be delighted with that, she won well and hopefully we can pick up another one with her. She's very hard on herself, and always has been. She's a little bit difficult to train but we've got the handle on her now. We let her out and let her run. She'll run in all those fast fives now. She's improving all the time. Her dam was placed in a Listed race at four, she didn't get going until then, so maybe she'll keep improving.
Gold Factory grinds it out well for McDonogh
It's nice to get her head in front. On her first run at Leopardstown this year she just never went a yard, I don't know why. She has a very unusual action behind, maybe it had something to do with that. She's run well at Dundalk before and Declan said she loved that straight track. He said she's very tough and she has a great attitude to her. It's nice to win with her as she has a lovely pedigree.
Millisle 'back on track' in Ballyogan
She's back on track. She was very good there and Shane said she's only really learning to sprint now,. She got rolling, enjoyed it and quickened up well. She had to carry a penalty against them there too. We'll probably go to the Curragh now for the Phoenix Sprint, another Group 3. It's just hard enough to find races for her. There are very few fillies races, that's the trouble, and she's probably not hardened enough to take on the elder sprinters yet. I think she will be in time as I think she's a proper sprinter. I'd love to look at a Group 1 towards the end of the season. She seems to go on any ground, it doesn't seem to worry her at all. She's won a Group 1, a Listed race and now a Group 3 so it's brilliant. She's a very valuable filly as she has a good pedigree too. Her dam went back in foal this year to Starspangledbanner aged 23. She had been retired but they brought her back in out of the field.

Could Be King digs deep for Billy Lee
That's great. He's a horse that had very good form for his previous trainers (Patrick Prendergast and John Oxx) but he's obviously had his problems and missed a good chunk of time. He seems to be in good form now and had a very good run for us first time at the Curragh. We were delighted as he finished third in a Listed race on Derby weekend. We ran him back at Fairyhouse but for some reason he just didn't perform. Sometimes after a long lay off the second time they can be a bit below par. That was more like it and Billy said he was very tough when he needed it. He ground it out well. We're delighted with that and hopefully he can build on it. He has a high rating and it might not be simple to place him. Something like the Concorde Stakes maybe as he does handle very soft and heavy ground. That could be a long term aim but we'll try and find something in between. I'm very pleased with that, getting his head in front again. The conditions of the race worked well today.
Tasalka breaks her maiden for Weld and Hayes
She had the rating to win, had been working nicely and loved the little ease in the ground. We'll see if we can get a bit of black-type with her, that's the target. I'm very pleased. I'd say that was a good maiden. With fillies at this time of year you are trying to start off and get winning brackets with them first and then see if you can progress. She ran some very good races last year and that's why she is a highly rated filly. I'd be very hopeful of getting black-type with her.
