Postulation pulls it out of the bag
He was entitled to win. He had two good runs and he appreciated the step up in trip. I'd imagine he will come back to the Kingdom for the Nursery in Listowel.
Henson finally gets off the mark
When he ran in Bellewstown last year if you said he was going to be a maiden until now I would have said no way! . He deserved it, it was probably trainer error because he needs stepping up. He likes a flat and galloping track and the long straight helped.
Well-regarded Miller makes it two in-a-row
He is a progressive handicapper and he is relatively lightly raced. You must remember he never ran as a two-year-old and he is only getting better with runs. I have him in an apprentice race on Saturday (at the Curragh) and Donagh O'Connor will ride him.
Brooch makes it two from two
That was very pleasing. Despite the betting it was a bit step up from winning a pretty average maiden. Her sister (Caponata) also won her first two starts in maiden and Listed company. She is a fine big filly and she is only starting to fill out. She will make a nice 4yo. Dad will speak to Lord Grimthorpe and will see if she will run again this year but she will be a smart type for next year.
Tahaf makes Heffernan's dash worthwhile
We were unlucky earlier, the horse (Amazing Star) was coming home well. Seamie is the key to this fellow, he was very good on him. He gave him a super ride and the horse is progressive. He probably bumped into one at Galway the last day. He doesn't have to have the blinkers but they are a help.
Easy win for Shalaman on first start for Smith
He did it well. I don't have him that long so I didn't know what to expect. We will speak with his owner and we will see where he will go but he is entered in the Curragh on Saturday and if he is alright he will go there.
Point rounds off great day for team Ballydoyle
He has plenty of ability and it was better riding him that way, taking time with him suits him better.
