Archer's Up lands gamble in claimer
He just went wrong last year. We were very disappointed because when he won his maiden we thought he'd make a really nice horse. Everything went wrong with him and I reckon he was just a sick horse and not healthy at all. We freshened him up and when I saw the conditions they suited as he won over course and distance. Whether I still own him in a few minutes is another thing but you take that chance in a claimer. At least we know he's an all-weather horse and it's a pity that it's the end of the season here. He's a well-bred horse, his dam was second in a Group 2, and he's entitled to be a nice horse but just went the wrong way. That's two runners I've had in claimers now and two winners.
Schoolboy Error repeats the trick in Dundalk
Chris gave him a great ride. He did it well, settled well and finished out really well. The last day he was very keen and we thought if he settled better today the 3lb extra wouldn't make much difference to him. Hopefully he'll do the same again in a similar type of grade. He'll stay here until the ground dries up because he wants good ground.

Poetic Choice returns to winning ways at Dundalk
We did fancy her as she was back to a winnable mark and was in great nick. It's good that the horses are working really well at the beginning of the season. I just want the ground to dry out for a few of them but it's been a good start to the season.
A Likely Story finally has his day
He was down the right end of the handicap. I thought six furlongs was more his trip but he was very well at home. The only thing putting me off is that he hadn't won before although he was competitive off 80 here a couple of years ago. Hopefully there might be another race or two in him.
Mulvany on the scoresheet again with Premier League
We fancied him all week for this. We thought he had improved from last year. He was working with the horse that ran here last week (Early Call) and he was better in than some of them there. Gary said he found it hard to settle him and he needs to learn to race properly. He's a big strong horse but he was a weak horse last year, it takes time. We wouldn't normally have come here but for the meetings being changed. Most of my horses like a bit of give in the ground.
