He deserved to do that based on his Down Royal run (2nd 26 days ago). Johnny went a nice gallop on him and he said that he showed a lot of speed. That gives us the option of dropping him back to seven furlongs as well.

We're delighted with that. We hatched this plan a while back as Johnny (Murtagh, rode her on her previous three starts) said she was a nursery type and that five furlongs, fast ground and a tight track would suit. She has an honest attitude and she'll go for another nursery. It is lovely to get another winner in those colours (Printmaker and Lady Rochford the previous two).
Big name pony-racer Monaghan off the mark
She's pure speed and she loved it here. She is a half-sister to Rockview Diamond (won here in July). I ride her out everyday myself and she was my first two-year-old winner (at Limerick in 2008).
Zaralabad does it again at Bellewstown
He likes this place and the handicapper gave him a chance which he needed. He was a bit unlucky in a premier handicap at Killarney last year and he might go back there next week.
Carberry excels on Pires
He was entitled to win that. He's an unlucky horse and he has been knocking on the door in good races. He was well-in at the weights today. I'll look for something again for him in 2 or 3 weeks.
