Leroy Parker settles Fairyhouse duel
Leroy Parker is a bit of a monkey but has plenty of ability. He jumped those hurdles better than the ones in the north the last day although he may have got a bit of a fright up there. He tends to mind himself a bit but he goes on that soft ground and I suppose we'll come back here early next month for a Grade 3 hurdle. Leroy Parker, like a lot of his owner Joseph Kirwan's horses, is named after a character from the Wild West. Leroy Parker is the real name of Butch Cassidy.
Confusion returns as Savello doubles up
Savello will probably be left off now until the new year and he'll come back around March. He is a stone better on better ground, is only a five year old but will make a good chaser. We won't go over fences until next season though.
Ceol on song as Ruby doubles up
Ceol Rua jumped a lot better today than her previous run and is improving, although she is still very careful. She'll move up in grade gradually and I'd like to find a mares' race for her, otherwise we'll find a winners' of one.
Things work out to Hogan's benefit
Sky's the limit for Sous Les Cieux
Sous Les Cieux shows a lot at home and while he is still a bit novicey, he'll be a better horse in a race with more pace. He'll have no trouble coming back to two miles and we'll have to see where we go now next . I'd not be afraid to bring him anywhere and he's entered in the Royal Bond and we'll have to have a think about that.
Harold's Cross wins for Roche/Crowe
Wind back in Mullins' sails
that was a good staying performance and he'll go hurdling now. I think he'll need every inch of two and a half miles and will be a chaser down the line. Patrick thought he moved well and would go on better ground.
