Hidden Land opens Flat account for Kinirons
She's a different filly now. She had a break and actually ran better than the result says at Christmas time when the ground went a bit soft. We expected a big run the last day and she was just pipped, she probably needed the run and came on from it there. She had a good few runs last year and I think she's strengthened up with a break. She loves racing, she's as tough as anything, and I think she's a different filly this year. She has only turned five, she has a lovely pedigree as well so we'll have a bit of fun with her and mix it between the jumps and the Flat. Luke gave her a lovely ride and he's actually rode her every time that she's ran well. I think we'll have to keep him on board. We've only a couple for the winter but they've all been running nicely. We've got a big bunch of young horses for the Flat and we're looking forward to it.

That's brilliant. We thought the handicapper might have had him but then he might have a lot of those horses. He was running in claimers not that long ago and that was genuinely the level he was at. He's actually run well on his last couple of runs. When he won over two miles they hacked that day and when we tried him over it again he didn't stay. Shane said a mile-and-a-half is his best trip, a mile-and-a-quarter or a mile-and-a-half is fine for him.

We've always liked him, he's a very laidback horse and doesn't do an awful lot at home. He ran a lovely race the last day and I was encouraged by that. We didn't have many options, I would have preferred to run him in a lower grade race but there wasn't one until next month so we said we'd take our chance and see how we got on today. He would have learned something even if he didn't perform today and it's great to get that. Mikey is riding at the top of his game. I said if he didn't have the pace early not to panic and he did everything really well. He's a nice sort of a horse with a good attitude.
