Third time lucky for Heart Focus
I've been running her over the wrong trip and I have to apologise to her for that. She needs seven furlongs. The last day was just a question of room more than anything. She wasn't too upset after it and came out bucking and squealing the next day.
Big things to come from Time
He is a real serious fine big horse. It makes me sad actually as Mick Buckley (deceased) insisted on me breeding the dam to the stallion. He is a proper horse and on a bit better ground he will show more. He'll come on for this and I think he has it all. He is so big I didn't even enter him in the Phoenix Stakes even though he had shown so much earlier this year. I thought he was more of a back end horse but he had been working so well recently. We'll think about the Coventry Stakes for him now. Quick ground is what he wants and he might get it there. Shane (Foley) called it yielding out there today.

Euphrasia in 33/1 Blue Wind shocker
We've always loved the filly. There was only three declared and we were hoping for rain. She is very genuine so we said we'd take our chance. We've had a bit of bad luck but now we've had good luck. I've loved her since she was a two-year-old. She has always worked well at home and she is a good filly. It is amazing but would you believe she is still learning. She'll go on good ground too. She has good action and she is just better in a better race. We had planned a couple of Listed races for her. The job is done now as far as a broodmare is concerned. We will play it by ear with her.
Resolute Response gets off the mark
He is a fine big immature horse who is still a bit raw. We will take things slowly with him. That is only his second run. We took things slowly with him as a two-year-old. I thought he ran a grand race at Tipperary and he came on from that. He did what I thought he would do.

Hanky shows an impressive turn of foot
She relaxed well and she quickened up nicely. She is a nice filly but she needs good ground and that's the best she's had for a while even though it's quite dead. The hood relaxed her a bit. She has been unlucky and we thought she'd win her maiden on slow ground even though she wants it better. A couple of things didn't go right for her.
Well backed Ladders takes the last
He did well to win from where he came from. He hadn't the clearest of passages. He is a big horse who will go over hurdles in time.
