Val makes it two from two at Sligo
She's been jumping great at home and she won a maiden hurdle around here so we knew she'd handle the place. She was in great nick at home. The little ease in the ground was ideal for her. They went a right good gallop which probably suited. She looked good when she won her hurdle and looked good again today, but they probably weren't great races. I thought the handicapper was hard enough on her after winning a maiden hurdle and she just struggled to go on from there. We'll see what the handicapper does here and take it from there.

Dollar good Value for another easy win
Darragh (O'Keeffe, on Bold Emperor) knew my horse and I'd say he was just trying to take it off him down the back to see would it sicken him, but my fella just kept taking it out of him with his jumping. He's in a great vein of form at the moment. Keith is a great horseman and he jumped great for him again today. He'll be well up in the weights after this so we'll go for the Grade 2 at Gowran Park in early October. He's match fit and some horses in that will be coming back from a break. We have to have a go at something like that at this stage. Then the plan is to go to the November meeting in Cheltenham and we'll be leaving him off for the year after that.
Donoghue completes treble on Ice as Cromwell doubles up
He's been banging on the door and he was entitled to win that off his chase mark, so it's great that he's got his head in front over fences. He'll stay further and will go on slower ground as well. We'll probably go handicapping now.

I fancied Ferdia a bit more but this is a smashing horse. I'd say he struggled throughout the race because his main aim is Listowel and this race should put him right. I'm not sure yet what race he'll go for next week. He'll definitely have taken a blow there. I worked him with The Dara Man (pulled up injured earlier on the card) and The Dara Man worked a lot better than him but he obviously improved from the work. A horse like him that won two bumpers, when he jumped the last upsides he was always going to quicken past those. He has a bit of class. Kevin gave him a peach of a ride and that's three rides, three winners he's had for me now in the last week.
