Hughes jumps debutante wins opener at 33/1
he's a lovely horse but that ground is as quick as he'd want and would appreciate a dig in it. He didn't jump that well but I'd say that was down to the ground; he was bought to be a three-year-old hurdler.
Modem routs only rival in Punchestown match
it's a pity the other horse (Identity Thief, coughing) didn't run but there is nothing we can do about that. It was like an exercise gallop.
Moylisha Tim scores for Rath/Slevin
he's improving all the time and I think he'll go on any ground. I only have him since the start of May and he's a tough, tough horse and bucks every day you get up on him. I'm not sure where we'll go next with him but it's great to win a maiden hurdle: he could run over two miles or three miles.
See Me Here causes 20/1 upset
he's been a very frustrating horse and has had plenty of problems along the way. In fairness the syndicate (BRK Plus from Kerry, Waterford and Ballymore Eustace) have been very patient, and that's the first time he's had good ground.
Don helps Flanagan to 4th win in fortnight
good ground is the key to him, and the small field probably helped as he can be a bit keen. We'll keep him on the go if the ground is good.
Meyler maintains Dream run of form
he (Colms Dream) seems to have come on from his last run and is still only six. A light weight is a big thing for him and he could go to Down Royal next for a 0-123 handicap. There's also a 2m6f handicap hurdle at Down Royal that he could run in and he'll probably get a break after that.
Hobbs based amateur rides first Irish winner
she's a nice filly for next year, and jumps hurdles well but may go for a flat race in Dundalk next. She can only improve.
