Gamble landed as Rocker makes all
She ran a bit green last time out but that run helped her. Shane gave her a great ride and it's good to get a winner for Lady O'Reilly and the wife (Aileen Lynam)!. I'll aim to get blacktype for her as she is beautifully bred.
Elusive appreciates drop in class
It's amazing that the ground is not too bad. He got away with it here. He was very sore after the Curragh as top of the ground there is very different to Dundalk. He is entered again tomorrow (7:25 at Leopardstown) and I'll see how he is in the morning but I doubt he'll run. Smullen was very good on him.
July scores for Marnane on first handicap start
He's a nice horse. He has been immature. I'd say he loved that ground. I hope the handicapper assesses it well as he handled the ground and other didn't. They finished well strung out. It's great to have a winner for Mahil (winning owner Mahil Lahej Al Basti) as he is a great supporter of the yard.
Ferrib shows the younger ones how it's done
He is a versatile horse. He is entered in Cork on Sunday in a 0-65 (rated handicap).
Favourite Fox scores for the Keane's
I was a bit worried as I didn't think he was travelling. I thought he might have left his race behind the last time but when he gave him a slap he picked up well and did it well. He is in again at Sligo on Tuesday in a 1m 2f handicap and if he comes out of this with no affects he might go there. Then he will have a few weeks off. He is a small little horse but he jumps well at home and he will go hurdling eventually.
Two on the bounce for 'party pooper' Shamooda
She is becoming a bit of a party pooper in these handicaps! . She is gutsy and we weren't sure how she would handle the ground. It was all down to the jockey and we will keep her at more of the same now.
Hay provides Oxx & Murtagh with a double
She has come on a bit from the Curragh. She was very green there. She handled the ground very well tonight. She is a filly that will probably get a mile and six. She did well to win as she got whacked on the side. We will see what mark the handicapper gives her now.
