Battle Of Midway off the mark over hurdles
He stays well and loved the ground. He seemed to outstay the other fellow (runner-up Thatsy) and he could go up to three miles now. His jumping was a bit rusty early but got going as the race went on and we'll see how we go with him. Sean said the ground couldn't be soft enough for him.
Jurby strongest at the finish in Ballybrit
Hopefully that will do his confidence good as he had leg trouble in the past and I'd say he hasn't forgotten it. Racing on nice, soft ground will do him the world of good and he will stay a lot further. He had been going really well the last two or three weeks at home and I saw the soft ground but I thought he wanted further - he does want further but got away with it.
Pakens Rock brings up plenty of bets
That's him out of the 80-95 bracket!. He did that well and we'd hope he'll stay improving. We are learning a few tricks on how to train him and keeping him right for the job and it's going well so far. He was in very good form the last while and improved after the last day and I think he knew he won the last day. The fact it's a local track as well, it is only in the road, it seems to go sweetly; you have to keep him quiet and calm.
Meade and Flanagan double up with The Red Menace
I was worried would he go on the ground as he had never ran on it before. Previously he dropped out when he got passed, but he jumped brilliantly today and it now looks like that ground is what he wants. We were talking about giving him a break but we'll keep going now and three miles is what he wants.
