He was quite impressive. The step up in trip suited him. He was in good form beforehand and he did it well. We will see what's coming up for him now and them make a plan.

Front running Roley jumps his way to victory

That was the plan. We used front running tactics before and he was caught close home and he wasn't as fit that day as he was today. He didn't handle the track last time out at Kilbeggan, so we said we'd go for a flat track. I don't know what we will do with him now.

I've been waiting since last October for a win and then I get two! That's my first double. He is tough, but he always keeps a bit up his sleeve. I fancied him last time out at Kilbeggan but he missed the break and then got tired turning in and he was just left alone from there. He wants three miles.

Ballygill back to best in easy win

He did it well. He had been knocking on the door and he deserved that win. He loves that ground, its perfect for him. He will probably go for something similar next, maybe a three mile handicap hurdle. He needs three miles. His owner Martin Donnellan (who also bred the horse) is from Ballinasloe.
