Clar another for in-form O'Brien
He got an injury in the Irish National two years ago and that's his first win since. He seems to be coming back to himself,. We'll look at the two mile five race at the next meeting here, or a three mile contest. I was concerned it might be a bit short for him today. He'd want to win another race or two to get up in there but he could end up in the Irish National again. The horses are going well at the moment.

He's proper big old fashioned chaser,. Bryan said he was a bit sloppy but the bit came back in his mouth turning down the back and he never missed a beat after. He's a bit like myself, he just eats and sleeps. He's very laid back and I'm very lucky to have him. He's a proper horse and hopefully we'll have a lot of good days with him. Cheltenham never let it get too quick and he was just beaten there last year so hopefully we'll go back. Gigginstown have a lot of horses and need to split them up so he'll get an entry in the JLT, RSA and the four-miler. I'm sure Jamie Codd wouldn't mind riding him!
Nichols tops in tremendous Ryanair
He's so tough and his battling qualities and jumping remind of Hurricane Fly. To look at him would remind me of him too,. He wouldn't have the speed of Hurricane Fly but he has the stamina and aggression and he's certainly getting into that realm of ability. For him to have won six Grade 1s at his age is a fair effort. He impressed me there. He had a tough race there and it's going to take him a long time to get over it. It would be a worry if we were looking at the Irish Champion Hurdle. He'll get and entry and we'll see how he comes out of this. I thought he was finished after the mistake two out but Ruby maintained his position on the inside and a got little breather on the last bend. Obviously he got a good enough jump at the last. A lot of horses would have backed off but he put his head down. It probably helps that he ran in handicaps on the Flat and that experience is a huge help in those situations. At the fifth last Ruby pulled him back but he stood back off it and still got there. That must have taken an awful lot out of him. Ruby then made a positive move on him and I was wondering if he would empty. He decided to make the move but that might have used up a lot of petrol. From Ruby's perspective he felt Bryan was slacking off the pace and he didn't want that to happen. It's easy to ride them from where I'm standing. Ruby told me the reason he did it after.
Squouateur gives Elliott Leopardstown brace
He's a grand horse. He might have been a bit lucky as Jack's horse missed the last and he might not have won but for that. We'll see what the handicapper does now.
Pass a fitting winner of the last
That fella loves that ground. He's a lazy horse and races very lazily. In my book that means he'll improve,. I just hope he's not a slave to that ground. I don't know what he'll be like on better ground in the spring. He's done nothing wrong and I'd imagine automatically he'd have to go to Cheltenham but my worry would be once he comes off that soft to heavy ground would he be as effective.
