Jack the Daddy in Ballinrobe opener
It was a soft maiden but he's a genuine, small, bonny, little horse. He'd turn on a sixpence so this track suited him perfectly. Shane kept it nice and simple. The handicapper has been hard on the horse though he's in a big handicap at the Curragh at the weekend. If there's a little ease in the ground he'll take his chance. I think he'll improve as he's a May foal . the 30th of May in fact. He'd pull a plough for you he's so genuine. He's owned by Jack Dorian and his relations in New York. Unfortunately Jack missed it as he's still travelling back.

Hogan takes his opportunity on Ebazan
He was very gutsy. He came through a bunch and he got knocked about a little bit but he done it well. I had a few anxious moments. He was getting stopped a bit here and there. He's not a fast jumper of hurdles but he makes a nice shape over them. We were probably too forceful with him at Kilbeggan (3rd behind Sizing Sahara). For a horse rated 93 on the flat he'd want to be doing that and he should be a nice horse for the summer.
Sir Lynx in Ballinrobe shocker
He was second in a maiden hurdle one time (at Tipperary in April 2012 when with Patrick Cody) but he lost his form. We tried him in point-to-points when we got him and it was on soft ground all the time. It's all about the ground with him. He fell here the last day but he had plenty of jumping experience. We'll work towards Galway now (the stable had three winners there last year). Georgie and Fantastic Gold might go there too, as well as a two-year-old maybe.

Ground is the key to him. He needs very, very good ground. He was due to run at Clonmel but we didn't even take him out of the horsebox . we turned and came home.
