Sydney Des Pictons wins Navan opener
we were held up badly with the frozen spell and Sydney Des Pictons needed his run the last day and his rider Mark O'Hare said the ground wasn't soft enough for him. we'll aim him at a winners' of one or novice hurdle next but he needs soft ground and we'll keep him going as long as the ground doesn't quicken up. He'll go chasing in a year but we'll push him as far as we can over hurdles first.
Champs much the best at Navan
he is a nice big horse and was bought with chasing in mind. He'll have on or two more runs before the end of the season and handles soft ground well.
Maree continues French-bred's success
that was a good and tough performance from Raz De Maree. He jumped very poorly at Thurles the last day but likes a galloping track. He's a small horse but will make a chaser in time as he is from a family of chasers.
Paddy scores for O'Hare/Lynch
Accordion To Paddy is only moderate and we're over the moon to get a win with him!. our horses are flying and we've had nine winners in Ireland, and one in Britain this season . hopefully we may have a couple of horses good enough to run at Cheltenham in March.
Ad Idem holds on for Navan success
Ad Idem loved that ground and we'll look for a novice chase now. He loves this track and there is a novice handicap chase back here in March for him.
Arctic Mick completes O'Hare double
its been a good day! Arctic Mick has been a consistent type and while he is a safe jumper, fell at Folkestone when I though he was going to win. he is entered over hurdles at Fairyhouse on Saturday and will run if he comes out of this well. I'm keen to go back hurdling as he has a lower hurdle mark.
Moore newcomer wins Navan finale
Doumo Di Milano is a nice staying horse and we'll go for a maiden hurdle next. He''ll see out the season over hurdles but will be sent chasing next season as he jumps well. His dam is by The Parson, so his stamina was showing through and while we bought him as a three year old at the Derby Sale, the long wait is paying off now!
