Artistic Melody hits right Killarney notes
She was due that as I think a lot of her recent runs were trainer error. When I saw her run at Leopardstown, I was adamant she wanted to go further as she only got going on the line so I said she wants 1m2f. I stepped her up at Limerick and Roscommon but just didn't get home and Colin (Keane) said we had to take her back (in trip) and this was it today. I'm after banging a couple of quick races into her and she'll have a little break now but we always thought at home that she was capable of winning her maiden. She is straightforward and we'll concentrate on the mile but I don't think she's a black-type filly, which is unfortunate, but will pay her way for Vincent (Gaul) who is a great client of the yard.
Secret Wizard conjures up a Killarney win
When you have that draw here (one) - that is what Pat (Smullen) intended to do here and wanted to dictate the race from the start. You're terrified you'll get done but from Pat's body language I didn't think he ever thought he wasn't going to win. He should get in at the bottom of the Topaz (Handicap at Galway) now and the handicapper can't really kill him after that; Pat has always said he was better going right-handed. But this all pales into insignificance and, while it's great to win a race, I'd give it back as long as Ana (O'Brien) is okay. All that really matters is Ana to be honest.
Grainne's Dream gives Smullen a double
We were guessing really as we didn't know what we had whether we had a six furlong horse or a mile and a quarter horse, we didn't know. She was tough with the weight on her back and I wasn't sure she was up but we'll take it. She has been in Willie's a while now and while she doesn't look like a jumper, the way she battled back there, she might jump. Willie is delighted - I've no idea where she'll go next but I'm sure he'll make a good plan!

Ballyoisin leaps into Galway contention
He always threatened to do that and I have a feeling that he is this type of ground horse. He travels so well during the winter on soft ground and doesn't help himself and that was the reason he had a few falls too. We'll stay kicking on with him now during the summer and the 2m1f chase at Galway is a possibility.
Sir Jack Yeats engages top gear
He gave him a great ride and it was great for his first run in a handicap chase. I genuinely thought he was beaten - even after the line I was walking down to the second so it's great!. I'll pick out a race at Galway next.
