Clon Rocket scorches home
He had been working well but went mad at the start at Navan and started attacking the stalls. Coming here I was just afraid that he had such a fright the first day and while he has been castrated since, it took a long time to get the hormone levels out of him.

Shamash much too good in Sligo
The better ground seemed to be under the stands' rail and I spoke to Lorcan Wyer (Clerk of the Course) beforehand and then told Dusty (Shane Foley) to come out if he was going well. He probably would have won anyway though. He had a very good first run but the ground was a shade too quick on his second run and he doesn't want it as extreme as that. He's an easygoing horse at home and should improve during the year and we'll see what mark he gets now.

The Ring Is King triumphant again
It probably wasn't a great race but he's been a good horse for us. He's had lots of wind trouble but had it done and that's his first run on soft ground with 'fresh' wind; he didn't go on soft ground in the past when his wind was bad.
Shadagann gives Halford Sligo double
He's genuine when he puts his best foot forward and that was straightforward. His flat form was good but I was worried about the ground.

Drive The Bus lands a gamble
That was a long time coming but chasing seems to have sweetened him up. He had always been knocking on the door over hurdles but is a bit stronger now, being a six-year-old. He's entered at Killarney on Friday and might run if he gets the ease which he loves.
