He did what we hoped he'd do. Punchestown (where he finished second to Askanna) probably came too soon for him. When he is right he is very good. He is very keen and we have tried everything to settle him down, but nothing makes a difference. He had earplugs in today.

It took us six hours to get down here, but the new roads do help. I'm very pleased with him. He was a wee bit unlucky at Roscommon, as he didn't get the run of the race and the track probably didn't suit him.

She was unlucky the last day at Cork, as she didn't get a clear run. Chris Hayes was unlucky not to have ridden her here, as she was No 20 on the ballot and I didn't think she'd get in. Emmet (McNamara) was the first on the phone when she did. Opportunity knocks I suppose.
