It runs in the family for Raymonda
Her aunt actually won this race a few years ago, Emulous, and the family has been very good for us,.
Pleasing sign off from Opera
It proves that god loves a trier. He's off to the sales now - that was his last run for us,.
Oliveraie promotion gives Smullen a double
He gave him a couple of bumps, there's not much in it. Ours is a big tall gangly horse and when they get knocked off line like that it's not easy. It was fifty fifty but like I said when you bump a horse like that you're knocking a bit of wind out of them as well, it's not just the distance given away, it's a physical things as well. He's always worked very well. He's actually been a little frustrating if all truth be told. Pat rode him here the last day and he went well though. We gelded him since and put first time blinkers on. He travelled very well so hopefully he might just step up on this again. It's a while since he ran and he's been gelded since so hopefully.
Captain makes contribution for wedding
He's won over five, six and seven now and that's his first win over five,. He had a couple of good runs in premier handicaps and we knew if he came up with those runs again he'd go close. He's probably not a typical five furlong sprinter but he is class. Ian gets on well with him and has from the start. Claiming 7lb off 10st 1lb is a big help.
Ballydoyle's Idaho impressive on debut
He finished well and opened up well. He covered the last furlong very well and you'd have to be delighted with him first time out,. We thought he was ready to run and he's been there a while. Obviously it was his first time away. He's in the Racing Post and the two Group 1s in Saint Cloud. We'll see how things go and see how he progresses. It looks like he'll make a nice middle distance horse next year.
"Very gutsy" Van registers deserved win
It was his first run in handicap and he had to do it the hard way. He did it well,. He was a bit slow away and it suited him to get into it rather than be on top of his head early doors. It was lovely to see him doing it in a ding dong with the other horse and he was very gutsy. He kept at it really well. That's as quick as he wants it and he got the trip well.
Third win of the year for Shadagann
He did it well in fairness to him. He was a bit unlucky in Fairyhouse. He got upset in the stalls and lost ground. He ran well then from an unpromising position,.
Mademosielle signs off on Curragh's year
She did it well and she's getting stronger. She had a big field of horses behind her,. I'd say she'll keep going at Dundalk. She definitely doesn't need a break.
