Shiramiyna takes opener as expected
The ground was a bit quick for her at Leopardstown but she enjoyed the surface this evening better.
Double for both Condon & Murtagh
Johnny decided to come up the outside as the better ground was out there. We were concerned with his mark of 88 and we didn't want to go for a Sprint Handicap as he lacked the experience for that. A stiff seven furlongs to a mile is his trip. He improves from racing and he will go for a nice handicap next.
Gold leads home Murphy 1,2
She is progressive, I was a bit worry about the ground but I thought it would be a lot quicker that it actually is. She wasn't travelling early on and that could have been down to the ground, I think the handicapper has probably caught up with her now. That was Kevin's (Kevin Manning) first winner for me.
Dundrum wins for the Harrington's
I'm delighted with that as I didn't think he would win, I thought Tornedo Shay would. He will go for the Galway Plate next. He has 9-10 and I presume he will get in.
Fort George finally gets it right over fences
Pass wins first Chase on 75th career start
His owners (the O'Dowd-Kelleher Syndicate) are from Killarney but are now based in New York. He has been a model of consistency and will go for a Handicap Chase at Galway or the Galway Hurdle next. He will need a few horses to come out to get into the Hurdle.
Quick double for Geraghty aboard Fair Dilemma
His last run at Listowel was just four days after his good effort at Tipperary and it probably came a bit too soon for him. The ground was probably too soft for him that day as well. He will go to Galway or Roscommon next for another Handicap Hurdle.
